The father-in-law of former PAS Youth information chief Dr Rosli Abdul Kadir is leaving it to the Syariah Court to decide further on action to be taken against his daughter and son-in-law.

Mohd Noor Che Man, 58, said he had only acted in accordance with what was allowed by law and in his capacity as a father or head of the family.

Mohd Noor and several friends had surrounded the rented house of Rosli, 35, and Nor Ilyani, 30, who were said to have ignored the Syariah Court's order for them to stay separately temporarily after their marriage was performed by a marriage syndicate, hence the validity of the marriage is doubted.

Father-in-law vows to find daughter

However, Mohd Noor said he would try to find his daughter no matter where as she was taken away by Rosli without his permission.

Rosli and Nor Ilyani managed to escape in a car parked in front of the house in Lorong Masjid Mustaqim, Telipot, near here, while the house was still being surrounded by Mohd Noor and his group, at about 9am today.

On Nov 21, Rosli was ordered by the court to stay separately from his second wife (Nor Ilyani) after it was discovered that their union was conducted by a marriage syndicate at a Subang mosque, Selangor.

A day later, the PAS Youth leader announced his resignation from all party posts to protect the image and good name of the party following the wide media publicity on his personal affairs.
