nor mohamed yakcop He said he was not involved directly with any decision made by Pos Malaysia, which resulted in about RM546 million losses over the years.

"I am not directly involved because Pos Malaysia, as a government-linked company (GLC), has its board of directors and any decision is determined by the board, including Khazanah Nasional Bhd, without having to refer to the ministry of finance," he told reporters after an awards-presentation ceremony for the state's top Sijil Penilaian Malaysia (SPM) students in Penang today.

He said Khazanah Nasional was involved in the decision-making because it had its representative in the company's board of directors, adding that it had made its explanation earlier.

Nor Mohamed was commenting on a statement by Bayan Baru parliamentarian Zahrain Mohamed Hashim who had asked Nor Mohamed to come clean and explain the losses suffered by Pos Malaysia.

On another claim by Zahrain, in relation to the appointment of up to eight Danaharta Bhd individuals as chief executive officers in GLCs, Nor Mohamed said there was no problem with the appointments as they were capable of heading the posts.
