The Kelantan PAS government is disappointed at not being invited to the three-day National Youth Day 2010 celebration to be held in Putrajaya starting Friday.

State youth committee chairperson Abdul Fatah Mahmood said today this could frustrate the efforts by the government and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to realise the 1Malaysia objective.

He told Bernama that Kelantan and the other states held by the opposition - Selangor, Kedah and Penang - were not invited to the national-level celebration nor were they invited to meetings relating to national sports development.

He claimed that the state executive councillors in charge of sports in these states were also not invited for consultation on sports development, including on the Malaysia Games, and even if there was participation, it was done through the state sports councils.
