'Ibrahim Ali, it's our country too'
'If he doesn't like the fact that he shares the country with 27 million other Malaysians, then he should ‘leapfrog' to another country.'
'I won't apologise even with a gun to my head'
Mockingbird: MCA, tak malu ka ? Ibrahim Ali is stepping all over your great MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek. He has asked MCA members to leave the country.
Anyway, good show Ibrahim. Reveal all your racist true colours and keep asking us to leave our country and calling us pendatangs (immigrants) as much as you like. It will help the Sibuans cast their votes in the right direction.
Keruah: Why should non-Malays leave the country? Just because one commentator, Ibrahim Ali, says so? It's those who inflame ethnic hatred, like this pathetic excuse for an MP, who should leave the country or be jailed.
Malaysia is not just for Ibrahim Ali, it's our country too. If he doesn't like the fact that he shares the country with 27 million other Malaysians, then he should ‘leapfrog' to another country.
And his self-professed knowledge of history is rubbish. The country never existed before 1963 because Sarawak and Sabah were never part of Malaya. Malaysiakini should cut down on coverage of his idiocy.
Habib Rak: MCA should, at least, have some dignity. To continually associate themselves with an extremist organisation (Perkasa) which is closely backed and supported by Umno, is a great shame.
The Perkasa leader has shamelessly said what another Umno leader from Penang had said recently. "If they do not feel safe with Malays having such gatherings, they can leave the country."
How many more insults would MCA take before they realise it?
Kumara: Today, the leadership of the second biggest component party of BN have been told to leave the country if they don't like what is propagated by this extremist, who is condoned by Mahathir Mohamad.
Not to worry. If you have not noticed, we ARE leaving.
MCA blasts Ibrahim Ali's May 13 'verbal garbage'
Cala: Two groups of people may be commemorating the Nazis' brutal annihilation of six millions Jews during World War Two for different reasons.
To the current responsible and enlightened German government, their leaders would be expected to bow their heads and feel remorseful about past misdeeds committed by their devil-like ancestors. And they honour those who risked their lives for the failed attempts to assassinate Hitler.
Second, to the remnants of Nazi leftovers and diehards, they probably would meet and try to rekindle their sense of Aryan superiority over other 'lesser beings'.
Hence, what matters is the composition of the groups, their organisers, and their respective reasons for holding such an event.
Jiminy Qrikert: The only reason the stupid gathering was postponed was because Umno-Najib Razak don't want to anger the Chinese in Sibu. Once BN-Umno-Najib win Sibu, Ibradim Ali will be unleashed again.
It will be sad if, and when, it does happen, Malays who support this racist, bigoted event will turn up. That simply will show that Malay extremism is alive and kicking, and that there are enough Malays out there who think that non-Malays are to be kicked around under the mantle of Ketuanan Melayu.
Come 2035, it won't be necessary anymore, as Malays will comprise 72 percent (of the population) Then when 2050 comes round, all non-Malays will have to be invisible as that will be the only way to survive with Malays making up 80 percent of the population.
Ja Min: It's good to see an MCA central committee member coming out against the idiotic Malay, and it is comforting to know that the vast majority of our Malays have the common decency to distance themselves away from this scoundrel.
Malaysians love our peace, and we should not allow a few idiots to raise racial tensions. Our PM was right to have stopped this function, which serves no purpose but to fan racial discomfort. This is a typical and clear case where this idiot should be put under ISA.
Ed Wrong: Who are you fooling? The fact that Perkasa can reign free and spew racist venom like that is because they are the right-wing extension of Umno.
Ibrahim Ali and his goons are sub-contracted to do the dirty work of promoting 'Malayness', which allows Umno to pretend that they are moderate and for every race.
The game plan is to be as outrageous in their stunts so Najib and his 1Malaysia programme will look good in the face of such extremism. Najib is all about image and presentation with no substance.
Needless to say, MCA will conveniently be let off the leash by their masters to reprimand Perkasa for going against Najib's vision. Stop trying to fool people into thinking that 1Malaysia really means anything with this good-cop-bad-cop play-acting, Pink Lips.
Patriot: Talk is simple and cheap. Can MCA back it with action if no apology is forthcoming? MCA needs Umno and Umno needs MCA like conjoined twins. MIC well, an icing at the bottom.
Some people can shoot out racial innuendoes unabated while a mere mention of some injustice to a religion or race by the 'unprivileged minority' attracts widespread action against those who uttered these so-called 'seditious remarks'.
This Perkasa person gets bolder by the day, and knowing he gets very strong support - with the backing of a former PM - he will continue to shoot his mouth as and when he feels he needs publicity.
1Malaysia becomes a mockery when there are people out there to undermine it and work in the opposite direction. Najib is just a shadow of what Barack Obama is.
Susah Kes: Koh Nai Kwong, cut the rubbish, will ya? Go after the real godfathers of Perkasa and Ibrahim Ali - Mahathir, Umno and Najib, since they are clearly allowing this good-cop, bad-cop role to be played out.
Until then, don't bark, Mr MCA. You don't want to be left out of the Umno/BN gravy train, do ya?
