Satinah Osman: It is said that ‘whomever the gods wish to destroy, they make them mad first.' This is apparently what is happening to BN and its goon squads who have been looting and ripping the nation to shreds without a care for the needy and the downtrodden.

It is to Pakatan's credit that these two lawmakers are being suspended. The people will form their own conclusions and pass judgement at the appropriate time. Karma does not stand still, say the Hindus. It strikes back with greater ferocity. Hopefully most of us will live to see that happen.

Chong Chieng Jen and Dominique Ng must explain the cause of their suspension to the electorate as soon as possible. They have the right to know the reasons.

Sea change in Sibu

Christine Yong: DAP, you should now focus on the implementation and fulfilment of commitments during the by-election. The people of Sibu are not to be fooled. They must be informed of Pakatan's constraints if improvements are not possible. They voted with the hope that Sibu will change.

WandererAUS: Once a again, we saw in this Sibu ‘buy-election' a disgraceful performance carried out by the BN crooks. With the CEO of this ruling administration leading the way - using our money to buy our votes - how low will this privileged son of a political family stoop to stay in power.

Even his late father (Razak Hussein) must be disappointed with a son lacking in vision and bankrupt of ideas. Typical behaviour of a spoiled kid, whose talents lie in only corruption and low tricks.

DSwami: I was a soldier once, an officer in the Rangers during the fight against the Communist Party of Malaya. The brass wanted us to win the "hearts and minds" of the civilians. I told my commanding officer, one Lt Col Zul: "Sir, if we grab them by their ‘balls', their hearts and minds are sure to follow." His answer was, "That is what the Americans did in Vietnam. The BN is doing exactly what the Americans did in Vietnam. The end is in sight.

Another convert in bid to renounce Islam

Amaso: Apostasy is a serious offence in Islam. But are other Muslim countries also adopting same position as Malaysia? If it is not, it shows the interpretation of Prophet Mohamad's teaching varies with different countries.

Al: Are my tax ringgit paying for this legal process? Just let the man practice what he likes as long as he's not hurting anybody else. Everyone deserves that dignity.

Md Imraz Ikhbal: To any fair-minded person of any religious faith, is "Slay those who change the religion of Islam" the same as "Slay those who change his/her religion from Islam"?

To idiots who concoct their own perverse religion and declare it as Islam, the two sentences means the same. But to those who read and truly understand the holy verses of the Quran, they will know that it is the first sentence that applies, and it is categorically distinct from the second.

If the first sentence apply, then is Wong the one who should be punished or should it instead apply to those who have perverted the beautiful religion of Islam by forbidding the freedom of religion as ordained by God?
