DAP is considering moving a motion in Parliament to remove Election Commission deputy chairperson Wan Ahmad Wan Omar for his "unprofessional and harsh comments" about the party in today's issue of Utusan Malaysia .

Rasah MP Loke Siew Fook in a statement condemned Wan Ahmad for calling the party "dahsyat dan biadap" (rude and terrible) and for blaming DAP for the delay in the counting of postal votes for the recent Sibu by-election.

Loke, who is also the party Youth chief, said Wan Ahmad's comments were biased and far from true.

"He was talking more like an Umno supreme council member than EC deputy chairman," the statement said.

Loke also called on Wan Ahmad (right) to retract his remarks about the DAP.

Earlier, Wan Ahmad said a new rule, which would not involve any legal requirements, would be introduced to ensure better election management.

He also said that the DAP supporters were "out-of-control" on that day (polling day, May 16).

A post-mortem on the Sibu by-election would be held next week, Wan Ahmad added.
