Kerdau assemblypeson Zaharuddin Abu Kassim, who has been admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur, is reported to be in stable condition.

An IJN spokesman told Bernama the status today but declined to elaborate. Zaharuddin was readmitted to the CCU yesterday.

NONE Before this, 63-year-old Zaharuddin ( left ) had an operation for intestinal ulcer at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh. However, the doctors treating him detected a heart complication and he was admitted to IJN on May 9.

Kuala Krau MP Ismail Mohamed Said said Zaharuddin's family member has informed him that the Kerdau rep was responding to the treatment when examined by doctors last night.

A check by Bernama this morning saw several family members and close relatives of Zaharuddin gathered outside the CCU, but they declined to be interviewed.
