If you did, why don't you act on it immediately? Make a report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission or the police? Saying that you don't trust the MACC or police is not enough. You are now risking your credibility over this issue. Or is it you are trying to utilise this technique to attract more people to attend your ceramah?

As I have maintained earlier, if you wish to catch a snake or a wild animal, you don't go around banging gongs and drums and creating a ruckus. So sorry, Anwar, but whatever game you are trying to play here, I, for one, am not buying it, yet.

There's an old saying that goes, "empty vessels make the most noise."

Mockingbird: Anwar, we trusted you once on the September 16 issue. You let us down. Remember, don't push your luck too much or your loyal followers will stop believing in your promises.

I am fully aware you are in deep crisis over the Sodomy II fiasco and you are desperately trying to keep your head above the water. You have my full commiseration on this. The BN will nail you by hook or by crook and I think everyone knows this is a foregone conclusion.

It may be wise to consider relinquishing the Pakatan leadership to someone who will be able to lead us out of this abyss which threatens to swallow us all. I do not mean to patronise you on an already bad situation; but I speak with great concern for the welfare of our beloved country.

It is with sincere hope in my heart that you succeed in steering yourself to safety. God speed.

AnesthMO: Even though I am a supporter of Pakatan Rakyat, I feel that this has to be said - this is what I hate about PKR and its leaders. They claimed on many occasions to have explosive and sensational information to tantalise the public. More often than not, it always fizzles off, leaving a bad taste in the mouth.

This leaves the people, especially Pakatan supporters, feeling cheated. This also jeopardises the faith and confidence of the people in Pakatan. Examples of PKR's antics would be Ezam Mohd Nor's six boxes of documents and Anwar's supposed list of defecting members of parliament.

Come on PKR, buck up. If you have evidence of wrongdoing, then boldly expose it. Don't play the fool with the people, especially your Pakatan supporters, by giving them false hopes and wispy fantasies.

Bernard Phillips: What does it matter what Anwar reveals or does not reveal? Does anyone in Malaysia have any doubt that these people jumped ship based on their political beliefs? Let us damn them for betraying the trust of the people who voted them into power and pray that the BN/Umno financial millions bring them no joy.

Consolidation of the PKR governed states is what is important and people should be ready by the next GE to be able to make comparisons and distinguish clearly the advantages of consigning the BN government to history.

Then, and only then, will there be any benefits of releasing names and figures so that these people can at least account to the tax office for their ill-gotten gains and these will include those in the BN government who will be able to explain to the Malays who are still wondering why the NEP, after 40 years and billions of ringgit later, have yet to benefit them.

Hopeful123: Anwar is in politics for many years and was once a DPM. I am sure he is keeping track of the latest developments and how his words are taken by his supporters and others. There is no point in making police or MACC reports. All of us know that.

Let DSAI (Anwar) go along the path he thinks is right. Let him expose the crooks one by one - as someone said, this will take a longer time and keep the news going on.

Barrister at law: That's the spirit... little by little. That's exactly how the prosecution against you is revealing their evidence, and that's exactly how the turncoats will expose PKR's corruption... little by little. So Anwar should not complain when all this is used against him.

WFcoolie: To those who condemned DSAI, they are born yesterday. They don't seem to understand that the announcement is not meant to charge them in court, but to expose them to all Malaysians. We all know that only the IRD (Income Tax Department) can charge them for tax evasion if they decide, otherwise it would be a waste of time.

Congress slams NEM's neglect of Malays

Habib RAK: What an ignorant bunch, this Bumputera Economic Council (BEC). I really feel sorry for them. On the one hand, Idris Jala has just presented the chronic debt problem which will make the government bankrupt. Yet these people are still talking about special rights.

My professional Malay friends are world-class and they can compete with anyone. This BEC group is only interested in keeping the Malays dependant and impoverished for their own selfish reasons. They are not fighting for the betterment of Malays, but out to destroy them in the long run. Wake up, the world is moving along.

All in the game: Why are you all not talking about the fact that the country will be bankrupt over the next few years? I guess for people like in the BEC, the country should become bankrupt and end up in the hands of the International Monetary Fund. That will be the best thing that can happen to these so-called Umnoputras.

Tkc: The timing of this congress - coming right after Idris Jala's lecture on subsidies - really stinks. It shows how insensitive and selfish this bunch of losers are. It is pertinent to note that not a single individual from these NGOs spoke out against the subsidy issue. Do these people realise that if the subsidies were removed, the people who will lose most are the Malays?

Mockingbird: BEC, have you stopped for a moment to think that if all our hard-earned money had not been squandered away these last 52 years, every Malaysian would be having a better standard of living?

The non-Malays are not robbing you of any rights, it's your BN cronies who are the ones guilty of these heinous crimes and more. You have been robbed by your own kind. Please have the decency to stop finger-pointing at those who are really facing persecution.

GAS or not, Samy looks set to stay

Gandhi: I think we shouldn't compare Dr Mahathir Mohamad's drama with S Samy Vellu's scenario. Mahathir's drama started at an earlier time, i.e 20 years ago while he was Umno president.

One must basically consider this simple reason of Samy's tenure as president. Is there any dire need for him to stay? Definitely not. And since the 2008 general election, he has not done anything that can support his stay. So, this glaring fact is enough for him to leave.

The current mood in MIC and the general Indian community is that change must take place. Delaying the change is like not cutting the loss at the opportune time.

Lastly, helming MIC by any of the current crop of leaders would jump start the party with the injection of new ideas. Samy's jaded politics would only see the demise of MIC.

Patriot: Samy Vellu has well-fortified his position for such long time, even by removing all opposition and conscientious objectors to his policies. How did he maintain this position? Surround yourself with yes-men and keep them happy and they will vote for you time and again with their eyes shut. That makes a mockery out of democracy.

These breaches to this seemingly impregnable wall are small, but it could be a catalyst for bigger and stronger support. Currently, it is a one-man show in MIC with the others playing a supporting role.

Keris Tumpul: Samy is a totally different breed of politicians. Unlike many other leaders, he refuses to accept his downfall. He lives in his own world of denial. To him, GAS is just a tiny flatulence released by a few rebels who have gone against him. He has seen many flatulence like this in his career. Even if Umno directly releases bigger flatus - or BN jointly releases a huge flatus - he will just treat it as a minor flatulence.

Of course, this doesn't put his party or the BN leadership in a good position, but that's what Barisan leadership has to deal with. The Barisan leadership must be aware that any wrong move against Samy would end up with catastrophic consequences.

Personally, Samy has nothing to lose and no one dares to speak against him. I believe Sami will only be removed from MIC the day he exhales his last breath.
