Former PKR Ipoh Barat division chief Fauzi Muda is on the warpath. He wants the Perak PKR deregistered, and for this he has submitted documents of alleged irregular conduct of annual general meetings of the party's divisions in the state to the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in Ipoh.

NONE Fauzi, ( left ) who had earlier claimed that he loved the party and has high respect for its supremo Anwar Ibrahim, made a U-turn and lodged the complaint at the state ROS headquarters this morning.

He entered the ROS office and demanded that the state director personally receive his complaint.

Instead, state assistant registrar M Amirthavalli accepted it, telling Fauzi that she would contact him for further information on the matter.

An angry Fauzi claimed that 70 percent of the party's 24 divisions in Perak did not follow procedures in conducting their AGMs, with many divisions not having the quorum of 30 members.

He also claimed to have documents to back his charge that the AGMs of the Batu Gajah, Lumut, Kuala Kangsar, Sungai Siput, Taiping, Tanjung Malim, Beruas, Bagan Serai and Parit Buntar PKR divisions, which were held in May, did not have the required quorum.

‘False reports submitted to HQ'

He alleged that false reports of AGMs conducted in Perak were sent to the party headquarters to be redirected to ROS.

"The record of members attending the divisional AGMs was only on paper but not in reality," he said.

As such, the three-day party national congress held in Kota Baru from May 28 was illegal and therefore null and void, he added.

Asked why he was attacking the party that he claimed he loved, Fauzi said: "I still have high respect for Anwar, but not for the little Napoleons around him.

"I sent Anwar three SMSes to bring reformasi (reformation) to the party to stop the rot, but he chose to ignore me. He told me to compromise and settle the problems with the state party," said Fauzi, in loud voice.

"I am only answerable to the public and want the people to know the truth about the party."

Fauzi resigned his post in PKR on May 11, which coincided with Umno's anniversary celebration.

He has now formed a non-governmental organisation called Pertubuhan Kebalikan dan Tindakan Suara Rakyat Perak (Organisation to act to return voice to Perak people) to expose alleged wrongdoings in the Perak PKR.

NONE With Fauzi were former Tanjung Malim PKR Wanita division chief Soraya Sulaiman, former Bagan Serai party member Roshanita Mohd Basir and her husband Saghazali Abdul Kadir, who avoided being photographed by the media.

When contacted, PKR state vice-chairman Chang Lih Kang said: "This is nothing but a malicious conspiracy (by Fauzi) to tarnish the name of the party.

"It is a blatant lie and the only division that did not have the quorum is his former division, Ipoh Barat," retorted Chang when asked whether it was true that 70 percent of the party divisions did not have the quorum to conduct their AGMs.

"We are prepared to answer any queries the state ROS may have on the recent AGMs."
