Umno saving S'gor, but from whom?

Jiminy Qrikert: There are some very telling signs that Umno is fast heading towards being a bankrupt party. Infusing the party with new blood in the person of an ex-PKR senior party leader, screaming promises to save Selangor and launch a 19-stop roadshow, yet only 200 turned up?

My goodness, many manufacturing companies in Selangor can fill their parking lots with twice that many people at the blow of a whistle. We can thus conclude that:

1. Ezam Mohd Nor has zero support - Selangor Malays probably think he is a traitor;

2. Shah Alam is not Umno home ground by far;

3. Selangor Malays do not believe there's anything threat for Umno to save Selangor from - hence it's empty sloganeering;

4. A launch event kicking off a roadshow programme that fails means the roadshow is doomed to failure;

5. The 200 who turned up are most likely the same lot of idiots responsible for the cow-head incident ; and

6. 'Ketuanan Melayu' is bankrupt and passe.

Beetle: ‘Saving Selangor' for whom? Obviously for Umnoputras and their cronies. This bunch of bloodsuckers are desperate as their chances to corrupt money have been taken away from them.

They are going all out using crooked ways to bring down the Pakatan Rakyat government. Let's continue to be steadfast and deny those bunch of corrupt Umnoputras to plunder the nation's wealth which belong to the rakyat.

Simon Lee: Yup, the people of Selangor decided to save their state from Umno and BN when they rightfully elected Pakatan and Selcat to clean up Selangor from the past corruption, racist characters and bigots running down the state.

Umno can only hurl baseless accusation, issue threats, name-calling, insults, personal attacks and empty rhetorics which is their trademark and only ‘skills' they have. Umno is a sore loser and will resort to desperate measures to regain power to protect their personal interest. Umno is worried as the people are very happy with the Selangor government. They now have a government who cares for the people.

We have FREE water for the poor. We now have the FREEDOM of Information Bill. The people are beginning to see FREEDOM from the corruption of Umno. We are FREE from the oppression of the past regime. We are FREE to bid for projects with the open-tender system.

We are FREE from the past racist government. We are finally FREE after 50 years of corruption. Yes, let's save Selangor from Umno.

Geronimo: So this is the culture of Umno, name calling that is. They called a certain sultan "binatang", they called a chief minister "biadap" and now they called Malaysiakini "keparat". And to think we are going to allow such low lifes to run Selangor state to the ground again. In the words of Sir Winston Churchill, "Never, never, never!"

Anonymous: Name-calling and insults are what these Umno Malays can do as they have no figures and statistics to back up their arguments.

Melayu Umno, jangan ingat kau Melayu aje, orang lain bukan Melayu. Tak malu pula mau muka. Apa yang nak diselamatkan? Selangor amat selamat dalam tangan Pakatan Rakyat. Hati tak murni sudah busuk, macam mana nak dapat sokongan rakyat?

Biarlah orang-orang Melayu Umno ini teruskan cara mereka yang suka mencaci (insult) dan panggil nama (name calling). Ini saja sudah pun bukan cara Islam yang sepatutnya. Orang Melayu lain pun bukan bodoh ikut kata-kata engkau sekalian yang penuh dengan hasutan dan dengki.

Teruskanlah gaya 'shiok sendiri' kamu itu yang akan bawa padah kepada Umno. Kononnya bangga dengan deklarasi 'AkuMelayu'. Buat apa bangga sangat, lebih-lebih lagi deklarasi demikian bukan Melayu yang berbudi-bahasa, tetapi Melayu pariah dan tiada budaya langsung. Teruskan dengan gara-gara kamu itu, Melayu Umno.

Malaysian Overseas: ‘Save Selangor' is their slogan for the public. Internally, they call it the 'hijack Selangor' project.

Ezam - the 'new force' in S'gor Umno?

Change agent: Dear Umno, please 'save Selangor' from the good governance, transparency and accountability that are hallmarks of the Pakatan-led government. We, the rakyat, very much prefer the good old days when corruption was widespread, and the looting of state-owned assets were rampant to enrich the elite Umnoputras.

What's this?: Save Selangor? Selangor is already in safe hands under MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim. Umno is just trying to get rid of Mohd Khir Toyo with another turncoat. Let's see what Ezam can do.

Jamah Lubah: Without Ezam, Pakatan Rakyat will perform better in the future. His presence in BN will mark the beginning of the end of BN, until Putrajaya changes hands.

Passing Cloud: My goodness, you again, Ezam? You were the guy who tried to instigate the royalty and Malays against Malaysiakini and Star over the non-payment of workers' salaries. Ezam, you're precisely the sort of guy PM Najib Abdul Razak is looking for as a sacrificial lamb to do the dirty job. Let's see where you'll finally land, and end, up.

Malaysian Overseas: Please remind Ezam to bring the boxes filled with proof of corruption he claims he has in every ceramah.

DOC: Selangor Umno is like a river. Things were smooth in Selangor Umno when Umno ruled the state. When Pakatan took over the state in GE 12, waters become choppy in Selangor Umno due to party in fighting made worse with this Nor Omar and Khir Toyo feud.

Now that the dark horse Ezam has ridden in to the battlefield, thing are going to get pretty turbulent. Just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that things will go downhill for Selangor Umno like a waterfall.

Anak Msia: PKR is governing Selangor and that is what we want. It's excellent when there's governance and tranparency. When Umno was there, the state was filled with corruption. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), formerly the ACA, was then sleeping.

Now under PKR they seem to have woken up only to start investigating small suspected cases such as the MB's open house and issues of buying flags, which led to the death of Teoh Beng Hock.

What is happening to the Khir Toyo's mansion (RM24 million) and illegal sand mining? For these issues, MACC is asleep. Bila mau bangun?

Mohd Hazwan: Since both Khir Toyo and Noh Omar have passed their expiry date, there's nothing much Selangor Umno can do. It's probably a desperate attempt to salvage things.
