'For racists, the best form of denial is attack'
BTN's Hamim lodges report against portal, reporter
Albert: Hamim Husain lodged a police report against a news portal/ journalist over an article that claimed that he had uttered racist remarks. The best form of denial is "attack". That is what this Hamim fellow (and all racists) has perfected.
Does he not have the manhood to deny the racist statements that he has made? Mind you, the reporter quoted him in verbatim. Do we honestly think that the reporter could have made it up? Will the Police consider or ignore the tape recording in the reporter's possession? What happens if this Hamim fellow has indeed made these racist statements? Will the police take action against him for the abuse of police reports?
Of late, the police have been receiving many "false" police reports (especially from Perkasa and Umno). As an officer of BTN, is it right to make racist statements belittling and demeaning the minority races even in closed door meetings? Will Hamim also deny that there are many such cases by BTN's officers that go unreported?
Anak bangsa Malaysia: That's what happens if the authorities or the government does not take action against Perkasa leaders for being so extreme in their statements and demands. 1Malaysia is a mere slogan - extremism is becoming real each day.
For the BTN deputy director Hamim Husain, why behind under Perkasa? Have you no principle in life? If you have said it, then own up to it. It really does not matter if a reporter sneaked into your Puteri Umno closed-door meeting.
What matters is what you mentioned intentionally about the Chinese and the Indians, and that was against the spirit of the constitution. PM Najib Abdul Razak promised zero tolerance for extremists? Far from it. It would never happen for another 50 years. Malaysia is going another 50 years backward.
David: What has praying for 'Muslim unity' to do with your alleged racist articulations? Are you saying that Muslims should back you even if you were racist? If you did indeed utter those racist remarks, shouldn't you be ethical and own up, instead of praying for 'Muslim unity'?
Croniq: That's right, you coward. Hide behind your religion and your thugs and your 'misinterpretations.' How does someone misinterpret `si mata sepet' or 'si botol?' And he has the audacity (and advantageousness) to lodge a police report against the whistle-blower?
Matrix: Praying for Muslim unity? I have nothing against that, as long as you're not praying for Muslim unity to perpetrate racism against other races/religions. Anyway, he should remind himself he is deputy director of National Civics Bureau, not Islamic Civics Bureau.
RHI: Ehem. The word 'misinterpreted' has normally been used in cases like this. In other words, you are passing the buck to the reporter who reported the matter. Siapa makan cili mestilah terasa pedas.
KSN: One thing is for sure – Perkasa is keeping the police force very busy with all the police reports it lodges. May be the government should consider setting up another department to investigate all Perkasa reports so that the Police force has enough time to concentrate on real crimes. As it is, they look hard pressed with so many real crimes reported. What about it , Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein?
Swipenter: These guys are playing the race/religion card to the hilt. So what if the reporter sneaked in and reported what was said truthfully? If Hamim got the guts to say it, then he should be man enough to admit when caught with his pants down. Now it is likely that the police would be going after the reporter for sneaking into a private function, not what was said behind closed doors. Is this what 1Malaysia Boleh is all about?
By Election Fan: The BN/Umno government is the single reason for racial disharmony. BTN is the toxic pond that nurtures BN / Umno’s racial hatred to enshrine “Malay Supremacy".
An old Chinese saying describes Hamim Husain action today: "Er Ren Xian Gao Zhuang" (The crook turns around and blames others for his own wrongdoings). Typical Umno style.
BTN: Najib and rakan-rakan, enough is enough, lah. Apa lagi nak tunggu? This type of civil servant is not only bad for Umno but also for the country. For the people who pay taxes yearly and get run down by ungrateful civil servants, this is really hard to swallow. Don’t let the citizens lose confidence in you and your government. You and your government screwed up when you let go all those earlier cases off just with a slap on the hand, and it set off a very bad precedent.
Another creature that need to be controlled is Perkasa. They can do and say things that no other Malaysians can get away with it. What is so special about them that you can’t throw the book at them? Is it because they are Melayu? Mind you, there are lots of Melayu out there who do not subscribe to their ways of doing things.
JB guy: Hamim, just accept your dues as a man and apologise for your racist views. The fact that you are associating with a Perkasa leader shows your inclinations as an extremist. We do not need civil servants like you.
I sincerely hope that the Public Service Departments will act against you and the two racist principals. I wonder why the PSD is pussy-footing and not taking prompt action. Najib, your deputy is ineffective and has abdicated his authority, so you need to act if you want us to take your 1Malaysia seriously.
Call me Jibby: Perkasa has now become a government organisation and BTN's agent and spokesperson?
Ferdtan: Why is Hamim, a government servant, escorted by a Perkasa 'bodyguard' to make a police report? Is he trying to pressure his boss in government and the police not to take any action against him as he has his 'godfather' Perkasa with him? It looks like Perkasa is bigger and more powerful than the whole government.
Malu: Tak guna punya manusia. Asyik buat kacau aje. Pakai cermin hitam, malu ke? Malukan Melayu dan Islam ‘aje. Orang Melayu yang lain hidup susah cari sesuap nasi. Melayu macam Hamim dan Perkasa asyik goyong sini sana buat kacau. Al-Fatihah untuk siapa? Kamu orang, ke? Hati busuk macam mana nak jadi orang Islam?
Anonymous: As a taxpayer, I insist that my funds not be used to pay the salary of an official who shows no sign of remorse for his words which are clearly seditious. I insist that he be immediately sacked, with loss of his pension.
