Police will study the statement by PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin before taking any action over his statement alleging police involvement in the Banting murders.

NONE Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar said police had recorded Shamsul Iskandar's (left) statement at the Shah Alam district police headquarters at noon today.

"We will study his statement first before taking any follow-up action and I urge all parties to stop making speculations because the case is still under investigation," he told reporters at the Selangor police open house in Shah Alam today.

Prior to this, the media had reported that on Sept 13, Shamsul Iskandar, through the Selangor TV news portal, had alleged that police were involved in the murder of cosmetic millionaire Sosilawati Lawiya and three others.

Khalid said investigations into the murders, including involving Indian millionaire Allal Kanthan Muthuraja, 34, and of the disappearance of a businessman last Saturday, were in progress.

"We would inform the progress of the investigations from time to time," he added.

Meanwhile, on a case involving a Selangor state executive councillor alleged to have hit a man, resulting in the latter to be admitted to a hospital, at a PKR divisional meeting in Klang last Sept 26, Khalid said police were investigating.
