Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak is leaving it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate irregularities concerning the water issue during the BN administration in the state.

He said he had identified many irregularities that occurred during the BN administration concerning the water issue and every allegation was based on facts and records.

"We notice many irregularities in terms of pricing, for example, the construction of the water treatment plant at Lubuk Buntar (near Kulim) for 25 million liters of water, where the actual construction cost was between RM25 and RM30 million, but the money spent was RM65 million.

"We obtained this information unofficially, but officially the MACC has to look for the information," he told reporters in Alor Setar today.

He was commenting on a report yesterday that the BN was not afraid of the threat made by Azizan to expose the irregularities in the water issue that allegedly occurred during the BN administration in Kedah.
