The Home Ministry received the highest number of complaints from the public over the first eight months this year as compared to other ministries, its corporate communications division chief Jamilah Taib said today.

She said according to the Public Complaints Bureau's statistics, 999 complaints concerning the Home Ministry were received throughout the eight-month period.

"Nevertheless, the ministry views the matter positively and considers it as a positive indication of the acceptance of the public towards its services.

"It will also guide the ministry to serve the public better and to increase its efficiency indefinitely," she said in a statement.

She said every complaint would be looked into thoroughly and given proper attention immediately.

Apart from the complaints, Jamilah said the ministry also received various suggestions, information, criticism and enquiries from the public.

"These suggestions, information, criticisms and enquiries will also become our tools in measuring public awareness on the existence of the ministry," she said.

Complaints and suggestions for the ministry could be sent to the ministry at www.moha.gov.my or through email to aduankdn@moha.gov.my , or by calling 03-8886 8000 or mail to Bahagian komunikasi Korporat, Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Aras 9,
