Umno wings - Wanita, Youth and Puteri - convened their 2010 general assemblies at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) today.

The focus of the assemblies was to strengthen the party's machinery in gearing up for the 13th general election.

Wanita Umno's general assembly got underway with 793 delegates at the Tun Hussein Onn Hall while the Youth movement with 795 delegates at the Merdeka Hall and Puteri with 776 delegates at the Tun Dr Ismail Hall.

The wings' assemblies was declared open by Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin, who delivered a keynote address, at the Merdeka Hall, PWTC last night.

The delegates will dabble on the keynote address and debate on the proposed economic, education and religious resolutions.
