The Negeri Sembilan Umno Youth has lambasted the Felda settlers who "turned their backs on Umno".
Calling them "ungrateful", Jempol division Youth chief Mohd Nizam Aman also said that they had been misled and taken in by the false promises of Pakatan.
"We are disappointed by some of them and their actions which appear to be in cahoots with the opposition.
"We know that they love Umno but they are obviously fooled by Pakatan," he said in reference to the lawsuits against the Felda settlers and those who voted against Umno in the past few by-elections.
"They should know who has been providing for them all the while. Will the opposition look after them as well as we do?" he said when debating the movement chief's policy speech and the Umno Youth Annual General Assembly this evening.
354 Felda Kemahang 3 settlers have recently won a court case against the agency for cheating, as well as damages up to RM11 million.
Felda was formed in 1956 to enable poor Malay smallholders reap the plantations and benefits in plots of land entrusted to them.
But the second generation of settlers have grown increasingly disenchanted with Felda.
With the recent court ruling, as well as several eyebrow raising articles by PAS and PKR party organs, many Umno leaders have been on the charm offensive to do damage control over the perception.
