PKR today lashed out at the BN for fielding Linda Tsen as an election candidate despite  still being in mourning  for the loss of her husband, Edmund Chung, the late Batu Sapi MP.

During a press conference in Bandar Ramai-ramai today, PKR elections director, Fuziah Salleh said that it was irresponsible of the BN to have nominated Tsen, who has to deal with her grief and that of her four children.

"If I was Tsen, I will feel very pressured to be used as a candidate when the responsibility of replacing the Batu Sapi MP lies with the party, not the widow.

NONE "I feel very sad. I know how hard it is to be a female MP. When a husband passes away, the wife will be in mourning. I'm very said she is used in this way," said Fuziah ( right) , who is also Kuantan MP.

She said that if Batu Sapi voters really sympathised with Tsen's situation, they should not vote for her, allowing her to tend to her still mourning family.

"If she wins, then voters are victimising her with responsibilities that should not be hers in the first place," she added.

‘Tsen may not be qualified'

Tsen, a housewife and part-time piano teacher, was chosen the BN's candidate based on the sentiment that she would continue with her late husband's legacy.

NONE Where politics is concerned, Tsen is the exco member of PBS Wanita. She is also is the deputy chief of Elopura PBS division's Wanita wing.

Outside politics, she is an accomplished pianist and is a Trinity Music College fellow. She teaches piano part-time.

Commenting on Tsen's ( left ) qualifications, Fuziah said that she may not be fit to be a representative at the Dewan Rakyat.

"To put a housewife as a candidate for Parliament, to me is not fair. It is not an easy job to debate in Parliament," said Fuziah.
