Sodomy II: I see dead 'justice'
The famous author Agatha Christie could never have thought of a storyline based on thecourt case of Anwar's sodomy saga.
Medical reports: Judge to decide on Nov 22
AB Sulaiman: This case has parallel with Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz's snort at the recent Inter-Parliamentary Union statement and I quote: "The statement released by the IPU is of no significance and is never going to be a factor in determining the result of Anwar's trial. It is ridiculous, stupid and short-sighted."
Where is the parallel? Here it is: Change the phrase 'the statement released by the IPU' and substitute it with 'the first medical report'. This medical report in other words will 'never determine the result' of this trial. it points to the high possibility that its 'result' has been determined already.
I think Nazri made another slip when he says 'never' determine the result of this trial. He should have said at most 'never stop the process and continuation' of this trial.
Dennis Madden: The prosecution and their puppeteers think they are incredibly clever, when in fact they are behaving like spoiled children who have been caught red-handed. Malaysia is the great loser in this fiasco thanks to the greed and overinflated egos of those in control.
Nobody but Karpal Singh will come out of this with a clean reputation.
By Election Fan: YB Karpal, I can predict that you will never get the doctor's notes. You were denied so many times and this has already violated the basis of a fair trial.
Nevertheless, please put up a good fight even though we all know the outcome. Sending DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) to jail will be the only way to destabilise Pakatan Rakyat and their last chance for BN/Umno leeches to continue feeding on rakyat's blood after GE13.
Not Confused: Dear readers, you must all know that the judgment of this trial has already been written. However, the proceedings in this case, and how it has been handled, have shown every Malaysian and the international community, what a shameful excuse for a judiciary we have here and how it is so blatantly obvious that it is a Najib Razak-led conspiracy.
However, we should have no fear. Every twist and turn, and the obvious involvement of the leaders of the ruling clique, have clearly demonstrated the determination by this excuse for a government to cling on to power at all costs.
No matter - it will, repeat will, bring the whole edifice crashing down at the next general election. The alternative cannot even be contemplated as it will mean the death of this country.
DOC: Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan said that he did not defecate for two days after being allegedly sodomised by Anwar, and that he only did so after he was examined at Pusrawi and Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
Seriously Dr Razali Ibrahim, I find it highly unlikely that his rectum was empty; unless Saiful defecated before the examination by the doctor or defected just before being sodomised and did not eat anything for two days, thus no stools in his rectum.
As for the so-called learned judge's deliberation on the submissions by the prosecution and the defence on the admissibility of the chemist reports; I think we need not wait till Nov 22 for the answer.
The prosecution is always right in this case, or should I say the prosecution is running this case.
Pemerhati: The bizarre and unusual behaviour of expert witness Dr Razali in not wanting to refer to his medical notes suggests that his notes do not conform to the script prepared by the prosecution to convict Anwar on the trumped-up sodomy charge.
Razali thus has compromised his professionalism and integrity and has become an unreliable witness. If after much effort, the defence does get the medical notes, there will be this strong suspicion that the notes have been amended and rewritten to conform to the earlier evidence and the script prepared by the prosecution.
Dingy: When the PM wants Anwar in jail, by hook or by crook, he will be found guilty. Mahathir did that in Sodomy I and Anwar was found guilty and jailed. Now is Najib's turn to put him in jail for a maximum of 20 years. That will stop Anwar from becoming PM forever.
Will the Malay votes swing to Pakatan Rakyat this time if Anwar is put in jail?
Passing Cloud: In medicine, if you are not sure or if you have forgotten details of history, investigations and findings, don't you refer to the earlier notes? Strange, Dr Razali repeatedly refuse to do so in this case. Are you afraid to spill the beans?
Lonestar: The prosecution case is going the way of Saiful's rectum, very likely to be empty. The truth is out there. If more than normal saline is needed for the insertion of a plastic proctoscope into a much-sodomised anus, then it is not a much-sodomised anus.
It looks like a case of denied prosecution - evidence that can show no sodomy is denied here, there and everywhere possible.
Tailek: Karpal, you can scream and shout till you're blue in the face about your client's rights being denied or infringed but the great Yang Arif is king in his courtroom.
There have been many occasions in which our judicial system and our judiciary have been compromised. This will just be another one.
There is no point in the BN government harping on about attaining a high-income society and getting out of the middle-income trap when the rakyat cannot receive due process under the law and when the justice system is hijacked for a political agenda or other dubious and nefarious reasons.
Ben: The famous author Agatha Christie could never have thought of a storyline based on the present court case of Anwar's sodomy saga. No one in this civilised society can believe such a case of embarrassingly parallel could happen.
Wira: Perhaps the notes contain incriminating evidence of fabrication. That's the real reason we can imagine why the prosecution is deadset against the defence having access to them.
This is not a school debate where one can lie and deprive information to win. This is a court where justice is meted out. Justice must not only be done, it must also be seen to be done!
YF: Well, borrowing the words from the movie ‘Sixth Sense' - I see dead ‘justice'.
