Former PAS vice-president Husam Musa has denied a Bernama report that PAS' doors will always be open to former Federal Territories PKR chief Zaid Ibrahim.

In a statement today, Husam urged Bernama to retract the report, which he described as "untrue and fictitious".

azlan "Lately, Bernama , in its capacity as the national news agency, had become the official report used by media organisations, but its contents are fictitious and untrue," said Husam.

The report in question quotes Husam as saying that PAS had previously offered Zaid a place, but the latter chose to join PKR.

"He (Zaid) is in a position to join any party... we did invite him to join PAS before, but he declined. So it's up to him now to join which party," the report quoted Husam as saying.

He allegedly said this to Bernama after being interviewed by Bernama TV in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

This report was republished by numerous newspapers today.

There has been much speculation over Zaid's political future after he announced his decision to leave PKR yesterday evening.

Zaid is most likely to form his own political party because his fallout with PKR has alienated him from Pakatan Rakyat allies PAS and PKR.
