Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has cancelled a visit to Sarawak scheduled for today and tomorrow because of tendonitis, an inflammation of the tendon at the heel.

His press secretary Ainon Mohd said Muhyiddin is resting at home as advised by his doctor, and will resume work on Thursday.

"The deputy prime minister apologises for any inconvenience caused," she added in a two-para statement issued to Bernama.

Muhyiddin had been scheduled to visit the two northern districts of Limbang and Lawas.

His programme included dinner with community leaders and meet-the-people sessions.
