Anwar admits flaws in polls, vows sweeping probe

Urban Malaysian: Anwar Ibrahim, if there is evidence of fraud, what action will you take? The fact that there is fraud renders the whole election process a sham. The only way for PKR to regain its credibility is to declare the election null and void.

About 70,000 out of 370,00 members voted, which is what? Less than 20 percent? When 80 percent of your members do not care or are not interested to come out to vote for their national leaders and most importantly, the deputy president who may be the next prime minister if Pakatan Rakyat succeeds in ousting BN, what does this tell you?

Something is definitely not right. Compare this to DAP's roughly 816 delegates out of 1,010 who voted, which is 80 percent.

KSN: Anwar, now that you have admitted there were flaws in the conduct of the elections, more like fraud, the elections should be declared null and void to be fair to everyone who contested and lost, and fresh elections called.

The perception is that you and Azmin Ali have achieved your intentions and those you did not want are out or defeated. PKR has no other option but to call for fresh elections. Are you up to it, Anwar? I have my serious doubts. Prove me, and others who agree with this, wrong.

Rolls-Royce: Anwar, your opponents and even those from within your own party have always targeted you. This is understandable, you are the PM-in-waiting, whether they like it or not. So they will try whatever means necessary to humiliate you and if possible send you back to prison again.

The stake is just too high and this nation is groaning in pain. I don't even care those things they said about you is true or not anymore. Watching what you have gone through from being the DPM to given a black eye, imprisonment, continual harassment and now a second sodomy charge is enough for me.

I don't even care when they said you did nothing while you were DPM. I believe you are a changed person. I believe it is God's will you go through all these so that this nation will be blessed with a leader who knows the triumph of success and the humility of defeat, who knows what is it like to be in power and out of power, and who knows what is it like to abuse others and to be abused.

You have reached the right age to do good for this nation. Damn with political survival, and I think that is how you will survive.

Will you nullify the existing results from the just completed election and have new elections and perhaps extend an olive branch to Zaid Ibrahim and bring him back to the fold? For the sake of the opposition winning the next GE, I pray that your wisdom prevails.

Au Fait: All of us (including the mainstream media and BN) must exercise the same vigour and zest in our criticism of the vote manipulations in our by-elections and general elections. Why the silence on these? Why single out the PKR elections?

Big Picture: With due respect to Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, I think it's fair for the CEC (central election committee), or even the police for that matter, to ask for some evidence from the complainant in the form of witnesses, documents, photos, videos, etc. At least, it will lead the investigators somewhere and not lead them on a wild goose chase.

The proof may not so strong as being admissible in the court of law, but at least it is something they can work on. Even when you make a police complaint, ordinarily you will be asked some questions before they would commit their time and effort into probing the matter.

Boonpou: Dear Mustaffa, I am not even sure why I am wasting my time commenting on your pathetic self. Trust me, I am disturbed with the recent polemics that came out of the PKR elections and have certain issues with Zaid Ibrahim.

But your stand in stating that you were invited to join the latter in forming a third party, and that you declined after you were heavily defeated in the polls, what does that tell me about your character?

You are a loser and without character. I don't care much if you are in Pakatan or Umno since, in my opinion, you should relinquish any ambition of being a representative of the rakyat. Try having a life outside politics. You truly do not have the personality to be one. I honestly think you would be much happier doing something else.
