New Straits Times highlighted that the government will launched a bumiputera real estate investment trust fund to allow the community to buy high-end property and compete with non-bumiputeras.  

Star front-paged that thousands of cheques sent by mail are being intercepted and tampered with, resulting in senders losing money to fraudsters.

Malay newspapers

Berita Harian , Sinar Harian and Utusan Malaysia led with news that the Selangor sultan is saddened by those who question the special position of the Malay and the institution of the royalty.

Chinese newspapers

Nanyang Siang Pau reported the premier’s comment that the disparity between bumiputeras and non-bumiputeras should be reduced in terms of property ownership, to prevent political instability.

China Press and Sin Chew Daily front-paged an allegation on Facebook that a male teacher in a Chinese independent high school in Ipoh has sexually harassed students.
