Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak will be in Brunei Darussalam tomorrow to witness the signing ceremony of the production sharing agreement for the Brunei Deepwater Block CA2 between Petroleum Brunei and Petronas Carigali.

Najib will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Anifah Aman, senior officials of the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Petronas.

"The visit will begin with the prime minister having a four-eyed meeting with the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam at Istana Nurul Iman.

"It will be followed by the signing ceremony of the production sharing agreement for Brunei Deepwater Block CA2," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement tonight.

Najib will be having a luncheon hosted by Sultan of Brunei Darussalam before returning to Kuala Lumpur on the same day.

The statement said the visit would provide an opportunity for both leaders to exchange views on bilateral cooperation.

This includes the status of the implementation of the Exchange of Letters (EOL) which was signed on 16 March 2009 and to reaffirm the commitment of the leaders of both countries towards elevating the existing bilateral relations to a new stage of enhanced partnership, the statement added.
