Police have obtained a court order to seal the house and office of lawyer N Pathmanabhan, an accused in the murder of cosmetic millionaire Sosilawati Lawiya and three others, since last Dec 16.

The Royal Malaysian Police, in a statement today, said that the order, obtained by the Bukit Aman Special Operations/Counter-Terrorism Team, was to enable police to investigate a report lodged in Teluk Panglima Garang involving a money laundering case.

It said that the deputy public prosecutor had decided to undertake action to seal a double-storey terrace house and a three-storey office building, both located in Banting, Selangor.

Last Oct 13, Pathmanabhan, 41, and three farm workers, T Thilaiyagan, 19, R Matan, 20, and R.Khatavarayan, 30, were charged with murdering Sosilawati, her driver, Kamaruddin Shamsudin, 44, CIMB bank officer Noorhisham Mohammad, 38, and lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32, at Jalan Tanjung Layang, Tanjung Sepat, on Aug 30 this year.

The case will be heard on Jan 27 next year.
