Wangsa Maju member of parliament Wee Choo Keong has described Karpal Singh as a flip-flop MP for frequently changing his views related to Anwar Ibrahim.
Wee in
his blog
said it had been reported that Karpal (Bukit Gelugor MP) had asked for the opposition leader to be investigated for sodomy when Anwar was the deputy prime minister in 1997.
"Karpal said he was approached by Anwar's driver Azizan Abu Bakar and a few others over the sodomy allegations against Anwar," he said.
Wee said he did bring this matter up in Parliament, that in 1997, Karpal did say in a DAP ceramah at Federal Hotel that he had proof that Anwar was involved in sodomy.
"At long last it has been confirmed by Karpal, otherwise another defamation suit. Civil suits flying all over the place. How scary!"
Wee said Karpal had called upon Anwar on Feb 8, 2009 to step down as the leader of the coalition (Pakatan Rakyat), and a month later he turned around to say that Anwar could remain as opposition leader because he continued to command the confidence of opposition MPs.
"Another flip-flop!" said Wee, who is an independent MP.
