No reprieve for Anwar, court upholds conviction
The Court of Appeal today upheld the sodomy conviction of former deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim and his nine-year jail sentence, and rejected his bail application.
Having failed to quash the High Court decision, Anwar is now expected to spend at least another six years in prison on top of the four years he has served for another conviction for corruption.
