All MIC members who had quit or were sacked from the party would be accepted and their posts retained, but with condition, MIC president G Palanivel said after a Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Kuala Lumpur last night.

NONE He said those who were sacked will be given 30 days, starting tomorrow, to submit their written appeal to the party.

The decision to give them a second chance was made by the CWC which met last night, he said.

"It was decided that members who had resigned, sacked or quit from the party after March 2008 be given a chance to come back and serve the party.

"And those who had won posts during the party election in Sept 2009, will retain their posts," he told reporters after the meeting.

He said reinstating them in their same positions would not be a difficult task since the posts vacated by them had not been filled.

Palanivel added that the same applied to three members who had been involved in the Anti-Samy Vellu campaign last year, urging the party president to resign, would also be accepted back.

NONE The three are CWC member Kumar Aamaan, KP Samy and former deputy MIC Youth chief V Mugilan ( left ).

Such a move was aimed at strengthening the party and prepare for the 13th General Election.
