My position not affected by crisis, says Azizan

Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak said the crisis involving two exco members who rejected reappointments to their posts does not affect the party or his position.
“In this issue I am confident of getting the sympathy of members of PAS. The PAS members love the party. They will be more sympathetic if there is an effort to jeopardise the party.
“... So the grassroots don’t want me. There won’t be any problem if the grassroots want me,” he said, in obvious sarcasm, when asked to comment on the development of the crisis involving ex-senior exco members Phahrolrazi Zawawi and Dr Ismail Salleh.
Phahrolrazi, the Kedah PAS deputy commissioner I and Ismail, deputy commissioner II, gave conditions to Azizan, who is Kedah PAS commissioner, for accepting reappointment as exco members.
Both did not attend the swearing-in ceremony before the chairperson of the Council of Regency of Kedah, Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah, at Istana Anak Bukit, last Tuesday.
Azizan, met during a visit to the iron ore site in Gurun today, said he left it to the people to evaluate his actions and hoped it would be amicably settled.
On the alleged ultimatum from Phahrolrazi to Ir Amiruddin Hamzah to resign as exco member to together pressure him, Azizan said he needed to know more about the matter before making a comment.
