The coalition for clean and fair election, Bersih, will convene a meeting with its endorsing NGOs tomorrow night to discuss the offer made by the home minister Hishammuddin Hussein on an alternative venue for the upcoming Bersih 3.0 rally.
However, pending the outcome of the meeting, Bersih will still stick to its original venue of Dataran Merdeka.

He was even willing to "assist" Bersih in securing either Stadium Merdeka or Stadium Bukit Jalil as alternative venue sites for the April 28 rally.
Bersih steering committee member Maria Chin Abdullah, when contacted, declined to comment saying that she will seek input from its NGO partners in tomorrow meeting.
"We need a mandate from the endorsing NGOs on how we should react," she said.
The coalition of 62 NGOs is gearing up for its third street rally after the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC)'s audit failed addressed some of its demands, such as on postal voting, election offences, and measures to end dirty politics.
Despite several calls earlier from the ministers to shift the rally venue, Bersih had refused to back down due to the historical relevance of Dataran Merdeka to the people's struggle for Independence and a democratic Malaysia.
"We certainly do not see any reason why Dataran Merdeka is unsuitable in the light of the many events that have recently been held there, including 205th Anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Police," Bersih chairperson Ambiga Sreenevesan had said.
On Friday, Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) rejected Bersih's plans to hold their sit-in at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur, saying that only "national level" celebrations could be held there.
