MCA has hit out at DAP veteran parliamentarian Lim Kit Siang for only accepting Pakatan Rakyat's electoral victories while claiming that the process  was “unfair, unclean and not free” in seats that the coalition’s candidates lost.

tan chai ho pc 130705 agitated “If we follow Lim's logic, then are the Pakatan representatives who have been (sworn in) considered illegal, thus making the state government an illegal one by extension?” asked MCA treasurer-general Tan Chai Ho (right) in a statement.

He said Lim is behaving in hypocritical fashion and is practising double standards.

Since polling day on May 5, Lim - at several public speaking engagements - had maintained that the election process had been the “dirtiest in history”.

“We believe that the irregularities are extensive and nationwide and affect up to 30 seats,” Lim had claimed at a May 8 rally.

"The irregularities impact more than 21 seats, the margin by which we would have won (the federal and) at least two state governments - Perak and Terengganu.”

The DAP took 38 parliamentary seats and 95 state legislative assembly seats, mostly at the expense of MCA.
