Three police officers took a statement from KeADILan vice-president Chua Tian Chang, or Tian Chua, this afternoon after he lodged a report against Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar Mohd. Isa Samad for allegedly slandering KeADILan and inciting racial and religious tensions.

Chua filed the report this morning at the police headquarters in Port Dickson.

"Mohd Isa had accused KeADILan of urging the Malay voters in Teluk Kemang to 'mendukung masjid dan membelakangkan kuil'," Chua said.

Chua added that Isa accused KeADILan of saying that if the Malays voted for KeADILan candidate Ruslan Kassim, there will be more mosques and if Malays voted for S. Sothinathan, the MIC candidate representing Barisan Nasional, more temples (kuil) would be built.

A police report was also made against Umno party newspaper Wawasan Merdeka.

Chua pointed out that Umno information chief Yusuf Nor in Wawasan Merdeka in its June 1-15 edition accused KeADILan of using religion as a tool to get votes and urged the people to choose either the temple or mosque ("kuil or masjid").

He said the slander is a campaign planned by BN to incite the anger of the Indian community against KeADILan, which is engaged in a one-to-one contest with BN in the Teluk Kemang parliamentary by-election on Saturday.
