Mukhriz Mahathir has revealed that he knows who recorded the conversation between former deputy premier Muhyiddin Yassin and him, as well as several other guests on Tuesday night.
However, the Kedah menteri besar did not deny the topic of discussion.
Mukhriz was responding to questions on the leaked video during a Hari Raya open house at his Gurun Umno division, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh .
In the explosive 53-second clip, Muhyiddin had said Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak admitted RM2.6 billion was deposited into his personal bank account.
Meanwhile, Sin Chew Daily reported Mukhriz as saying he does not think he committed any wrongdoing, but stressed he was prepared for changes.
The menteri besar also pointed out while he could not prevent the house owner (Muhyiddin) from discussing any matters in his home, he (Mukhriz) did not add to the conversation.
He also said positions are bestowed by the grace of God and hence he does not feel threatened.
Mukhriz was asked if his menteri besar position was at stake with regard to the video.
Previously, Najib had accused Mukhriz's father, former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, of masterminding his downfall.
Mukhriz said he visited Muhyiddin after he was dropped as deputy prime minister on Tuesday in his capacity as menteri besar.
Mukhriz said he wanted to express his gratitude to the former number two, who was also education minister, over the allocations given to schools in Kedah.
Muhyiddin has maintained his silence over the video.
