The Umno woman who was willing to take the bull by its horn by suing party president Najib Abdul Razak in court said she did not act alone.

Langkawi Umno division member Anina Saauddin said she acted in the interest of three million party members and on behalf of the people of Malaysia.

"Definitely I am not alone in this," she told journalists at the Duta Court Complex today.

However she refused to divulge whether she acted along with other known critics of Najib such as former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad ( photo ).

The vocal member, who recently accused Najib of 'cheating' Umno's three million members, said she filed the suit as a last resort after exhausting other available options.

"I started to talk about this at the Langkawi Umno women's meeting on Aug 8. As an Umno member, I had filed a complaint with the Umno disciplinary board and I felt responsible to do this as well," she said.

Anina named Najib and Umno executive secretary Abdul Rauf Yusof as defendants in the suit filed at the Kuala Lumpur High Court registry this morning.

The US$650 million is said to be the balance from the original US$681 million (RM2.6 billion) the prime minister had received in his personal accounts.

The transfer happened sometime in Aug 30, 2013, the same day Najib closed the account, as alleged by whistleblower website Sarawak Report.

Expulsion form party?

The suit was filed at 10.30am today by the law firm Messrs Hanif Khatri after no action had been taken on the alleged complaints made against Najib with the party disciplinary board.

Anina is seeking an injunction against Najib and Abdul Rauf or their agents in the disciplinary board, state liaison body, divisions, and branches to be restrained from removing, suspending, and taking disciplinary action on her, pending the disposal of this action.

The complainant is also seeking a repayment amounting to US$650 million - the amount reportedly deposited by Najib in a Singapore bank - and an account of all monies that he had received in the form of donations.

Also sought are details of all monies in the AmPrivate Banking Account No 2112022009694 allegedly belonging to Najib, along with damages, costs, and other reliefs.

Meanwhile, when asked about the Article 20.7 of the Umno constitution which does not allow Umno members to bring the party matters to court on the danger of expulsion, Anina's lawyer Mohammed Hanif said they would still fight the matter in court.

"That is a legal question, we will argue that in court. We will cross the hurdle when we approach it," he said, adding Anina cannot answer legal questions as the legal proceedings have been set in process.
