Ali Tinju, why must every criminal act be racialised?

YOURSAY | ‘He doesn’t even have enough people to form a decent choir.’

'Panas' protest fails to sizzle, Ali Tinju says he kept it cool

SteveOh: It is not for anyone to take matters into their own hands. If anyone has been cheated, there is the civil remedy or even a criminal investigation.

Go report it to the police. This resorting to mob terror must not be allowed. What are the police doing to deter this sort of terrorising of the minority community?

Why must any alleged criminal act be racialised? Falsely accusing others is also a crime. And so is criminal intimidation and causing public disorder.

LBS: Mohd Ali Baharom (Ali Tinju), I do admit a few Chinese traders do cheat. But if you know that traders who cheated you once, you don't have to go to him the next time.

I was once cheated by a Malay fishmonger. I didn't want to make a scene because of RM2 or RM3. I just told myself I would not buy anything from this individual again.

Is it worth it to fight over a small sum of money? We must have a big heart; losing a few dollars won’t make you poorer.

This same fishmonger didn't haggle for me to buy fish from him anymore as he knew what I knew. I think he must be ashamed to see me again.

Will he cheat again? Maybe, maybe not. May Allah bless him.

BTN: Umno is not fit to run the country. Its inaction is tantamount to supporting racists like this butt-dancing man by the name of Ali Tinju. The police force is just as bad.

Anonymous #03815719: The case has been settled by the Consumers Tribunal and it is unwarranted for Ali Tinju to turn it into a racial issue.

Who is he to go around threatening the Chinese businessmen as if the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) does not exist? Ali Tinju should be arrested and charged without further delay. But will PDRM act?

BH Yap: Either the people, including his own Malay Armed Forces Veterans Association members, are fed up of his antics or he did not pay them enough, or both.

Cocomomo: Malay pride? You are an embarrassment to the Malay race.

Fortunately, most non-Malays know that you do not represent the majority of our Malay sisters and brothers. You are a bunch of hypocrites.

Anonymous #19098644: Even the mat rempit and the silat boys don't want to be seen with Ali Tinju and his gang of desperados.

He is right on one thing though, there are more media people than his gang present. He doesn’t even have enough people to form a decent choir, let alone a mass protest.

TheAnonymous: Why is it always the Malays who are the one who got cheated? Are they really that naive? They should learn a thing or two from the RM2.6 billion warrior.

MCA jabs AG for Ali Tinju's 'bravado'

Oh Ya?: Blame it squarely on MCA vice-president Chew Mei Fun’s political masters who are playing the race and religion card to shore up electoral support. Have they ever condemned this act by Ali Tinju?

No, they and their party not only don't bother to disassociate themselves but have blatantly supported them openly and financially; a classic example is the Sept 16 red shirt rally.

MCA and other BN component parties are equally guilty by association, too.

Scandal Country: Don’t moan and groan, it’s MCA's own doing by keeping out of it and not taking any action.

MCA is a spent party and, like Gerakan, might be wiped out at the next elections.

Tholu: I think the PM should declare curfew in the area one kilometre periphery of Kota Raya under the National Security Council (NSC) Act and detain Ali Tinju and his gang for a period of six months without trial.

They should also raid their houses and seize anything that could be perceived as potential security threats, such as their handphones, laptops and desktops as well as kitchen knives, cleavers and hardware items such as screwdrivers, wrenches and hammers.

The Mask: "Numerous outlets in the shopping complex have closed in fear of the protest," lamented Chew.

Mr PM, Mr IGP, how can you allow a nobody to disrupt the business community? That's one day's income lost.

Are you going to compensate those people affected like you help the flood victims?

Saya Pun Nak Cari Makan: Chew, the rot starts from the head, the one who appointed the attorney-general (AG), and any decision the latter makes, it is indirectly the head's.

As such, you are barking up the wrong tree.
