Perlis prince tells Muslims to change their attitudes
The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail yesterday urged the Muslims to transform their attitudes and to be more hardworking in order to achieve high productivity and quality in their works.
He said all the good attitudes in a person such as the eagerness to seek knowledge, diligence in performing prayers, doing exercise and being generous are in tandem with Islamic teachings.
"In a family institution, the more open discussions that you have will help to solve a lot of internal problems.
"At work, the more you help your colleagues by giving constructive criticism and feedbacks, the more it will create wonders," he said after officiating a dinner organised by Felda Global Ventures (FGV) in collaboration with the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) at Al-Baraqah Mosque, Jelempok, Arau last night.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also MAIPs president, said the skilled-Muslims must be committed, competitive and creative to improve the community's quality of life, socially and economically.
He also handed over zakat by FGV to 36 selected ( asnaf ) recipients from Jelempok and Kampung Sena, as well as donations to Al-Baraqah Mosque and some educational institutions.
