S'WAK POLLS The native customary rights (NCR) land issue harped on by the opposition will not sell during the Sarawak state elections.

Natural Resources and Environment Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said Sarawakians know it is an old issue which had been recycled.

"The opposition only want to raise sentiments and do not know the real issue. The people know understand that NCR land and the Pan Borneo Highway take time to be fully completed," he told reporters after a meet-the-people session in Kampung Rayu Iban, Lundu, today.

Wan Junaidi, who is also Santubong Member of Parliament, said the state government has its own module in resolving the NCR land issue, including the use of satellites to view the areas being claimed.

"This was used also used to resolve the Orang Asli land issue in peninsula. The accusations by the opposition are unfounded."

He also presented a RM45,000 grant for a small rural project at Tanjong Datu to five village development and security committees including that of Kampung Rayu Iban.
