Police should question Umno Youth vice chief Khairul Azwan Harun again to find out what evidence he has against the "tan sri trio", said an Umno Youth leader.

Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii was commenting on Khairul Azwan denying that his police report alleging a conspiracy against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was based on hearsay.

"Police have to call Khairul Azwan back, ask him 'why did you say it's not an assumption?'

"Maybe he can't share the evidence with just anyone, maybe Khairul Azwan obtained some secrets.

"Call him back and ask him," Razlan told Malaysiakini during an interview at the news portal's office in Petaling Jaya yesterday.

The Umno Youth number two, popularly known as 'Azwan Bro', last week accused former Bank Negara governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz, ex attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail, and former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief Abu Kassim Mohamed of falsifying evidence against Najib.

Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar said after questioning Khairul Azwan, police determined his report was based on hearsay and decided not to pursue the case.

Following this, Khairul Azwan held a press conference insisting his report was legitimate and boasted of how Umno Youth had foiled a plot against Najib.

He also appeared to refute Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin's claims that his police report was an individual act and not the party's stand.

Razlan however denied speculation that Khairul Azwan was making a move against Khairy.

"We're all buddies in Umno Youth. This is just speculation, under Khairy's leadership we are all united," he said.
