Malaysian Crime Watch Task Force (MyWatch) chairperson R Sri Sanjeevan was arrested today for allegedly extorting a businessman in 2013.

Bukit Aman D7 principal assistant director SAC Roslee Chik, in a statement today, said Sanjeevan was detained at 4.05pm at a parking lot of a hotel in Putrajaya.

Roslee said Sanjeevan, 32, will be charged at the Temerloh High Court in Pahang under Section 384 of the Panel Code.

"We have opened 20 investigation papers in connection with the case," he said.
