PARLIAMENT Bukit Katil MP Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin today expressed regret after the Dewan Rakyat rejected his question on alleged funding for a campaign to post "#RespectMyPM" on Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's Facebook page.
Shamsul Iskandar said the Dewan Rakyat rejected his question on grounds that the question contained speculation.
"We are all well aware that every post by the prime minister would be followed by thousands of posts with #RespectMyPM.
"Surely it was done by a paid group," he said.
Shamsul Iskandar said he regretted the Dewan Rakyat's decision because the people should be allowed to know whether any public funds were involved in the campaign.
He said the "cybertroopers" behind this had brought disrepute to Malaysia.
