Siti Aisyah, the Indonesian woman accused of killing North Korean Kim Jong-nam, has written a letter to her family telling them not to worry.
An Indonesian Embassy official read out a translated version of the letter to the media.
"Mak, Abah, (Mum, Dad), I'm healthy. Keep healthy and pray for me.
"I have a lot of people helping me here, the embassy comes to see me and the lawyers too.
"Don't worry, you don't have to come. Pray for me. This case will be over soon and I can come home.
"Send my regards to Rio (my son)," Siti Aisyah wrote in the letter that she passed on to the embassy two days ago.
The 25-year-old appeared to be in good spirits when she appeared in court today, waving to the embassy officials when she walked in.
Previously, when the charge of murdering Jong-nam was read out to her, Siti Aisyah shook her head in disagreement when her translator asked if she pleaded guilty.
The plea was not recorded as the court had not asked for a plea.
She was also reported to have said that she thought the attack on Jong-nam was a prank for a reality TV show.
Jong-nam, who is the half-brother of North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un, was murdered at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 on Feb 13.
Siti Aisyah and Vietnamese suspect Doan Thi Huong are said to have smeared a toxic substance on the victim at the lobby of KLIA2.
It was later established that the assailants had used the VX nerve agent.
Besides Siti Aisyah and Doan, four other suspects at large are also accused of the murder.
