Irwan Serigar denies conflict of interest in Uber investment

Uber did not donate to the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (Magic) in exchange for the US$30 million investment in the e-hailing company by Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP).

Treasury secretary-general Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah, who is also the chairperson for KWAP and Magic, declared this to the media in Putrajaya today.

"It is not true at all. No, nothing. No conflict of interest," he said in response to a question on whether there was a conflict of interest, since he helmed both Magic and KWAP...
