Prison authorities allegedly took three days to send jailed PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim to hospital following an accident, claimed his lawyers.

The lawyers said the delay following the accident while Anwar was being transported last Friday, was unexplained and unnecessary.

"This accident aggravated his current and pre-existing injuries in his right shoulder, neck and lower back, leading to continuing pain since then."
