PM candidate? I’m just a small boy, says Azmin

After being mooted as a prime ministerial candidate leading up to the recent Pakatan Harapan retreat, PKR vice-president Azmin Ali has stated that he would prefer to continue governing the state of Selangor as its menteri besar.

“I am just a small boy running here and there.

“I want to focus on Selangor,” he said when asked about his nomination after a Jelajah Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat event at the Jamiul Hasaniah mosque in Klang tonight.

It was reported on Monday that Harapan’s youth wings had nominated Azmin as the coalition’s prime ministerial candidate, before eventually settling on Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad as their official nominee...
