A man was killed in Johor Bahru after he was attacked by four men at a petrol station in Taman Pelangi tonight.

According to media reports, the victim in his 30s had parked his car at the petrol station to pump his tyers when the assailants, who were in a white BMW, attacked him.

“A foreign woman, who claimed to be the victim’s wife, was inside the vehicle and she immediately ran for help,” Johor police chief Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd was quoted as saying by The Star.

A viral video of the 7.30pm attack, shows the victim being beaten up as his attackers attempted to force him into the BMW.

According to Mohd Khalil, during the fight, one of the attackers stabbed the victim in the chest, causing him to collapse.

In the video, the assailants then get into the car and drive off, leaving a lit firecracker behind.

Mohd Khalil said this was meant to scare off bystanders.

The BMW is then seen ramming into the victim, and later reversing into him before finally fleeing the scene.

Mohd Khalil said the motive of the attack is not clear at the moment.

Police are under Section 302 of the Penal Code for Murder.

The public are urged to inform the police if they find the white BMW with the license plate WB79L.
