Court grants 6-day remand for businessman over Penang tunnel probe

A 59-year-old senior executive director of a company said to be involved in the proposed construction of the Penang undersea tunnel has been ordered to be remanded for six days by the Magistrate’s Court in Putrajaya.

This followed an application by the MACC to have the senior executive remanded for seven days.

However, according to lawyer Hamidi Mohd Noh, his client objected to MACC’s remand application as he had surrendered last night and assisted in investigations...
