The man who surrendered himself at the Damansara police station yesterday with the body of his girlfriend in his car was remanded for seven days in connection with the killing of the woman.

Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court’s registrar Siti Mazrah Mohamad allowed the police application to remand the 37-year old man until Feb 12, to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The man, wearing the orange lock-up attire, arrived at the court at 11.15am.

Yesterday, the media reported that police officerson duty at the Damansara police station were shocked when a man brought his girlfriend’s body in a car before surrendering himself.

The man claimed that he had killed his girlfriend in the parking lot of a shopping centre in Kota Damansara earlier.
