Mukhriz spars with PMO

The Prime Minister's Office claimed that controversial data firm Cambridge Analytica (CA) had reported directly to Bersatu’s Mukhriz Mahathir, who was Kedah BN election director during the 2013 general election.

Mukhriz denied this, claiming the PMO was trying to distract from the potentially illegal tactics employed by CA for BN.

An undercover sting by UK's Channel 4 revealed CA executives admitting to employing entrapment tactics against political targets, including sending operatives to offer bribes and springing “honey traps.”

Cambridge Analytica denied using such strategies, claiming that it was "grossly misrepresented".

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng decried the apparent double standards over criticism of him leading children to sing an anti-GST song, claiming that no action had been taken against more overt acts by BN.

Police confirmed that they are investigating Lim after three reports were lodged on Lim’s action.

Although not naming him directly, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak took a swipe at Lim, insisting that BN would not “exploit” children in a similar fashion.

Poster war in Penang

Hundreds of posters disparaging Lim appeared in Penang, listing what it claimed were 51 "empty promises" by the chief minister.

Penang state executive councillor Chow Kon Yeow said the posters marred the state's clean image.

MCA may need to cede four parliamentary seats to Umno due to changing demographics in the constituencies.

Upset at being deprived of funding, Selangor PAS chief Sallehen Mukhyi warned that Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin will be ousted.
