MACC chief Mohd Shukri Abdull is unfazed by the civil suit initiated against him by former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.

"Let him sue. I will accept it," Shukri was quoted as saying by The Star.

Reuters yesterday reported that Najib had sued Shukri, attorney-general Tommy Thomas, and Bukit Aman commercial crimes chief Amar Singh for allegedly being prejudiced against him over the course of their investigations into 1MDB.

The filing was made last week.

On a related matter, Shukri said the MACC had almost completed reviewing local evidence regarding the 1MDB case, and is now looking at evidence from overseas.

Najib is accused of having received misappropriated funds from 1MDB.

The US Department of Justice claimed that a total of US$731 million had been deposited into Najib's personal accounts, although US$620 million was later channelled into accounts held by fugitive businessperson Jho Low.

Najib has denied all allegations of misconduct.

He had been charged on Wednesday for criminal breach of trust in a separate case regarding allegedly misappropriated funds from SRC International.
