Don’t act unilaterally - S’gor MB tells PKR members

Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari today advised individuals within PKR not to act unilaterally but to concur with the decision made by the party's supreme council.

The PKR supreme council leader said there are certain individuals within the party creating a perception in the run-up to the party election that their unilateral decision is actually that of party's decision, which is against PKR's spirit and principles.

"The problem is that unilateral decision is made but on grounds that it was party decision..that’s a different and wrong perception.

"The party's decision is made through the meetings and the highest position is MPP (supreme council).

“So what we need is party decision, not unilateral decision," he told reporters after launching Sistem Smart Doket Selangor 2018 in Shah Alam today.

He also advised candidates vying for various posts in the party not to engage in personal attacks which can be detrimental to the party.

Commenting on the statement by PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad that the incumbent deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and his camp had been alleged to have tried to obstruct the setting up of Pakatan Harapan several years ago, Amirudin said the allegation was nothing new and raised every time a party election was approaching.
