Police have remanded four suspects in connection to a hit-and-run incident that killed a woman at the Shaftsbury Square in Cyberjaya on Wednesday evening.

According to reports, the suspects are three foreign men of Middle-Eastern origin, aged in their early 20s, and a 32-year-old Sabahan woman. All are reportedly students of an international university in Cyberjaya.

The suspects were reportedly picked up at two different locations in Seri Kembangan and in Cyberjaya, around midnight today. A silver-coloured Hyundai, believed to have been used in the hit-and-run incident, was also seized.

A closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) footage of the incident shows the vehicle mowing down the victim - 31-year-old Wan Amirah Wan Alias - while she was crossing the Shaftsbury Square, before dragging her on the road for several metres. The footage has since gone viral on social media.

Wan Amirah, an assistant manager with UniFi, who had just turned 31 on Oct 4, died from her injuries at the Putrajaya Hospital yesterday.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
